Fellas,
I'm looking at getting a good tool set for everyday maintenance and projects like replacing handlebars, exhaust, adjusting suspension, changing tires, etc., and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations. This one from Snap On http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....roup_ID=683272 has been recommended. Mostly wondering what you guys use and if the one listed above is sufficient/insufficient/overly sufficient or if the price is reasonable. You get what you pay for with tools so I'm not against spending the money for decent tools that I'll get a lot of use out of.
I live in a small apartment and have a small garage so a large tool box really isn't an option. Yet. Thanks, guys.

Your link didn't work for me, but I looked around and ended up picking up a Craftsman set at Sears. It was a 309 piece set that was normally $399 on sale for half price. Came with a **** ton of sockets in 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" drive, racheting combination wrenches and Hex keys. The only other thing I've had to pick up was a set of 3/8" drive torx bits. Had one torx bit chip and walked it into Sears and they replaced it free, no questions asked. They have quite a few tool sets in just about every price range you might be looking at. I'd recommend going into your local store and taking a look at them.

You can't beat Craftsman. Some very comprehensive sets for relatively little $$. Also a couple TQ wrenches as mentioned above.

My parents gave me a Craftsman 200 piece set for Christmas 30 years ago. I have added to it quite a bit over the years. For a person not earning a living with tools, Craftsman is good enough for me.

Craftsman tools have served me well. I've learned the hard way that the cheap stuff from places like Harbor Freight and flea markets are crap that will fail you at he worst time.

When possible, I wait till May when Sears puts their Craftsman tools on sale for Father's Day.

Did you find a craftsman torx set? The one I got from sears is another brand and I have likewise chipped one. I didn't think they would replace it but I guess it doesn't hurt to try.

I bought the lower quality craftsman evolv torx socket set for 9.99 and also the allen socket set. The regular craftsman sockets are 29.99.

I'll see how they hold up.
