Default DWG: How's it handle around town and with 2 up

Hey guys, 2nd post, great forum!
I'm not new to Harleys, had an '04 FXDL and '06 FLHRCI. But I the RKC was the last bike I had and I got rid of it in '09 to buy my house. I'm settled in now (4 years later), retired from the Navy and looking to get a bike again. Really love the newer WG's, but they're a little pricy for me right now. I'm looking at the 05-08 WG's for their price, and mileage/age.

I'm looking for opinions on how they handle around town in general, and with a passenger. For as big as it was, the RKC was a dream with a passenger around town + anywhere. The rake of the WG's fork is what concerns me.

Thanks

Yo man, 2nd post here myself. My '02 WG rocks. I wouldn't mind a little more rake personally. Ride with the wife all the time very comfortably and could thread a needle with it all the while.

Come on in man. The water is great. You hardly even notice the rake.

Thanks!
Good to hear the ladies enjoy the ride too. I'm sure a nice touring seat would help, the skinny piece on the back of the 10-13 models is just for show...

Just a heads-up... Become schooled on the 2 "issues" with the '06 Dynas, should you fall in love with one.

1) Self-destructing 2-piece Rotor.

2) Inner Primary Bearing failures. The '06 omitted 2 case alignment dowels between the Inner Primary and Transmission Cases. Most, but not all IPB fails have occured on the '06's.

Lotsa folks here have had to deal with these issues, and a search on either topic will return plenty of info. My own thread "Finally Good News..." will educate you on the IPB. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the info. I'll follow up if I do fall in love with an '06. Seems I read that '06 TC88 had a few engineering upgrades with the oil system etc. I'm guessing this isn't one of the positive advances...

I just dealt with one of those on my '12 Jeep Wrangler. Brand new desigen 3.6L engine that's burning valves. Just had one of my heads replaced under warranty.
