Was this plug and play or splice?

I noticed that it appears you did not add a front section to it. Have you experienced any challenges from this?
Bob
I"ve since added a front section. No real issues with out it other than the potential for more stuff to splash up from the rear tire.

It's not a rear fender from a FLHX, it's from K&G Cycles. Just a fender blank that was 8.75" wide, which is what I needed for an '07 FXDWG.

No splicing but the turn signals wires had to be put in the connectors. I bought new connectors. It took me about 30 minutes. The brake light had a connector on it.

It is the 50/50 split red, no amber color. I have it setup as a run/brake/turn light in addition to my side mount LED light.
That thing is sweet. do you have a close up of it on the fender? How does it mount? I'd like to mount the light so it's flush with the top of the fender.

When I did my fender swap I bought a low profile D2Moto Smoked LED Taillight, kuryakan laydown plate mount and wired in Alloy Art Strut Turn Signals. Cleaned up the rear end nicely. Now I need to figure out what to do with the front turn signals

Mine was a temporary easy fix. Pulled the brake light off, and used the stock license plate mount and plate to fill the old hole by using the existing bolts. Piece of cake. Added some skull bolts to the bottom two holes and there ya go...

Also recently added a lowering kit so that rear fender fits the tire a lot better. Will post pics of that later.

I went simple, low pro Kuryakyn LED tail with built in turns and a lay down plate curved.

Not much easier then that to clean up the rear on a black bike.

These are the best pictures I have currently of the setup. The light is held on with 3M automotive tape. I have being running the light for around two years now without a glitch. As you can tell from the pics (somewhat) it does stick up off the fender about a quarter inch. If you decide to go this way, the lights are called Tru-Flex and can be custom ordered in lenght and three light (amder, red, amber or red, red, red) or two light like I have. I used the tru-flex dual convertor on each side also (take your current three wire set up and converts it to the two wire setup on the lights and also balances the load of the lights so you don't need a load convertor). Mine is also the smoke lens version, you can also get clear or colored. Also, measure your length up to a bend, the flex does not like tight turn (the 90 degree twun from the back to the side of the fender).

Here is how I have mine wired, I also spent the extra moeny and built pin connectors for easy removal.

I just installed a Panacea all in on smoke tail/turnsignal tail light....the turns are fairly clear when the brake isn't on and a bit hard to see when you apply the brake but the brake light is bright...Liscense plate sticks out but the missus is happy about it so i am happy.
