Default RKC style detachable saddlebags installed w/pics

These are Kuryakyn bags with edge brackets, ordered them before christmas, installation is straight forward, relocate my rear signal with a SG light bar. I am so ready for a road trip now!

Nice job! I am however wondering why you mounted them so high? Also, can you provide any pics of how they look from the rear, I would like to see how much gap there is between the fender/strut and the bags.

They do sit a little higher from the picture but it isn't that bad. I want the bags line up the rear fender flush so they look better from behind. These bags don't have the rear shock recess, if I lower the bags, they stick out too far and look funny. With the passenger seat on, you don't even notice they sit high.

I try to find a rear view picture later tonight, it does have a gap compare to rigid mount, easy brackets sit a bit closer but not much, that's the way they build them to clear the swing arm, nothing I can do. If you want look, get the Cyclevision mounts, they look the best but not detachable.

Those are nice but mounted way too high. The bags are higher than the rear fender.

He already said that the bags are too big to mount lower, and with the rear seat on they don't look too high.
