Default Kick stand spring

Gonna have to replace my kick stand spring, is there any tip or tricks I should know? Not really looking forward to this.

Put the spring on the chassis and the unmounted kickstand, then put kickstand through hole where it belongs, then bolt the end plate on. How I did mine a few months ago anyway....

I was able to replace mine without taking any parts off. Put the bike in the parked position, hook spring onto jiffy stand, then from exhaust side use short-handle flat blade screw driver and pry other end of spring onto the frame pin (put spring hook onto screw driver, place screw driver blade onto pin, then pull up on screw driver until spring hook 'slides' onto pin). It took a minute or two and a bit of patience but it worked - hope it works out for you.

Did mine a few months ago. Put bike on jack with jiffy stand extended. Lock vise grips on the spring where it connects to the stand. Hold on tight and pull out. May as well pull the pin, disassemble, clean and lube with anti-seize. Reassemble mounting bracket and reverse disassembly step to reassemble. Should only take 5-10 minutes.

I put a bunch of nickles in-between the loops which expanded the spring

I did mine petewerner's way. Was easy. And I got to grease the stand's pivot shaft while I was at it.
