I was looking at some for my '03. They're 15.75" eye to eye. They will make the rake steeper, & quicken up your steering. I have a thread on here. Longer shocks???

I was looking at VRSCR shocks that are 15.75". I'm not a Vrod guru, but I think they had the long shocks on '05-'07. They look like long FXDX shocks without the dampening adjustment screw.

So my question is are they a better alternative to stock? Also is there any mods required to get them to fit? Or is it a simple bolt on.

i think you just bolt them babys up. i would think there better than stock just by looking at them.

looks like maybe the same adjust ability though. a couple of clicks for different settings.

but the stock springs for the street bob are shorter than vrod shocks. so even if they are the same, you at least get better suspension travel

i just installed some on my bike. i know for sure that the polished ones with black springs are 13". they ride incredible, i put 300 miles on my bike today and could not be happier. i turned them to the stiffest setting and they just bolted right up. gl
