Default Saddlebags.....I'm most confused!

I'm going nuts trying to figure out what bags to buy. I know for a fact I don't want anything that sticks out past the back of the rear tire. My 3 choices are Boss, Iron, or Leather Pros. LP is last on my list because I really don't like the angled look.

Some of the pictures on the sites show the bags past the rear tire, and in other pictures it's not.

Iron Bags claim to use the thickest leather, but I talked to a guy at Boss who gave me his cell number, and told me to call him the day before bike week to beat the crowds and he'd be able to show me what the bags will look like on my bike right there at Destination Daytona. I live 20 miles form there. If I like then he will bolt them up right then. The ones I want are $1,075 "ouch!"

Anyone using any of the above bags on an 02 WG?

Wish HD made them for my 02 WG like the ones I had on my 00 Sportster. They weren't removable, but there was zero space between the fender strut and the bags. Built like a tank too for under $700.

Looking at your bags on the sporty and considering your 3 optional choices, the Iron bags look the closest to the ones that your used to. IMO

If they don't, you could go with these. They have zippered expansion just like the originals.

They are new retro T-Sport bags. We just uploaded them to our website yesterday, lots of pics and a video of how they mount.

Keep ridin'

Man these are awesome but I refuse to move the blinkers and side mount plate on my new '13 FXDB! Will you guys ever develop a super compact bag like this that doesn't require that relocation?

Those look like they'd do the trick. Link on a place to purchase?
