Default misfire and coughing

I have a 2006 dyna lowrider bike when is cold runs fine, as soon as it hit normal temp engine starts coughing and backfire, check engine light comes on then turns off, I have change the plugs and still bike runs the same, I am thinking of changing the coil any suggestion.

I can try to help...did they start using O2 sensors in the 06 models? If so, it sounds like as soon as the engine gets to operating temp and closed loop using the O2 sensor feedback, something gets messed up with the air/fuel mix. First use a scanner and pull the codes. If the CEL is coming on then there are codes. Go from there, but I'm betting bad O2 sensors....if your model has them. Regardless, check the codes. Hang loose.

Pull the codes before you start changing anything and see where that takes you.

A backfire is a sign of an intake leak. Not all the time but check it out. See if the coil leads are tight. How many miles on the bike? Have you changed the exhaust?
Oh yeah, pull the codes like he said.
