Default Messed up my tank- cheer me up

I was taking off my old crusty HD air filter for my shiny new Arlen Ness big sucker. The breather bracket unscrewed and sliced across the tank while I was spinning the wrench and I didn't see it in time. I just heard the crunch of paint. I feel sick. And I JUST installed this new-to-me tank from ebay.

Check out just above the forward breather bolt...

Stuff happens, can't see it when your going down the road. Try a little touch-up paint.

Touch up paint, a few beers and a happy ending from a pretty little masseuse will cheer you up.

The touch up paint will def hide that eye sore, unless its in a show and on the spotlight... I had the same size scrape right underneath the tank luckily...a lil HD black polish touch up paint and you would never know...good luck. BTW do light touch ups..put a layer on and let dry for a bit and add as needed

The air cleaner looks good though. I just got the same one. You won't even notice the scratch with a little touch up paint.

At least it's not a dent and chip right on top of the tank that you can see all the time, like mine is. I feel your pain though.

We've all had moments like yours. Like the others said, touch it up and forget about it. Plus, it won't hurt as bad when a DMFer opens their door into the tank
