Default Choosing a fairing: HD 1/4 or Night Rod style

I have ordered the HD 1/4 fairing with my soon to be delivered bike, but as I am seeing more and more pictures of bikes with the night rod fairing, I'm having doubts about my choice.

I already have the WC MX Tbars in 12" and am going for the "Club style" look.

In my opinion the advantage of the 1/4 over the rod, is that it gives the bike a larger appeal. I like that.

The plus side of the rod one is that it's different.

What would you do?

If you want it to serve an actual purpose other than just looks, I'd stick with the 1/4 fairing. The vrod fairing will offer little to no wind deflection.

If you just want a fairing for looks, go with whichever you like best.

I've always thought the HD 1/4 fairing was the best looking 1/4 fairing. Only other one I would run if I ever got a fairing is the Conely's.

I voted the HD, mainly because the Rifle Roadster wasn't on the list. The Roadster is similar to the Ness fairing but has multiple windshield sizes available, and windshields can be ordered for it in custom sizes as well.

What all do you have to purchase to get it to fit on the newer 49mm forks?

Bung King makes 49mm brackets for the H-D quarter fairing. Pretty sure Harley even has em now too in quick release.

I've had both, go with HD 1/4 fairing with bung king brackets.

I've got the vrod visor and it looks good and give you a little spot to stuff crap like a flannel or ball cap. I'm changing to a T sport fairing though. It offer more protection than the HD 1/4 and I think it looks tough. I like the looks of the 1/4 more, but want the additional wind protection.

hd with road dawg, hd offers zero wind deflections stock. If you could snag a tsport, I'm happy with my rifle for now.
