Default Rear pulley spacer/belt troubles?

Hey everyone! Been reading alot on here about the 200mm rear tire on the street bob and I was just wondering if putting a spacer for the rear pulley messes with the belt at all or causes any other troubles for it. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

actually, my pulley had to be milled down a quarter of and inch to work with a croosbones 200 and wheel... what wheel are you planning on running?

Default 200 mm

So what bike and year would help to figure out what needs to be done...

I'm looking into a 2007 Harley Street Bob. Would like to run a 18x5.5 and either a Metzler880 or an Avon Cobra tire. I know that the 200mm rear tire can be done and I have read all the threads about it but im still just a little confused on the pulley spacer. Thanks for responding guys

Default Wide Rear

I run a 17x6.25 on the rear of my bike (2006 Street Bob) and I had to have the pulley milled down as well as the l/h wheel spacer so that it all would fit together.
BTW I also had to grind a groove into the rear brake caliper so the shortened valve stem would pass the caliper without shearing it off.
Just a word of advise..If I had it to do over again..I wouldn't. It makes anything I do to the rear wheel of the bike a lot more labor intensive. In order to get the rear wheel off the bike, you have to remove the rear brake rotor so that there is enough clearance to get the wheel off and the reverse is true upon installation. PITA
The newer bikes (2009+) bikes have a wider swing arm so it is easier to put a 200 on without all the mods.

my 2012 bob has a 180 tire and there is just about no room to do anything, a 200 would require work for sure to install.

i've got a 2010 street bob and just put a 200mm on a 5.75 rim and didn't need a spacer for the pulley and haven't had any trouble getting the wheel on and off

Appreciate it guys, probably gonna end up running the 180mm. Just sounds like 200mm might be a little to much work for a rookie like me ha. rs87277, no mods were needed for the 180 correct? Ill probably just get rid of the ugly belt guard anyway so it should be alright
