Good news/bad news
I bought a 2005 Dyna super glide for a project. It has 11,800 miles on it, very clean bike.
I bought this to do a hot rod, can't let my wife's bike out run me ya know.
Her's is a 2010 WG with ss106
Got the engine took apart. The pistons had fresh oil on the top, lots of oil in the wrong places. The heads were carbon-ed up pretty bad, build up. The heads are still together as of now. They had a issue with the 04-05 models with the valve seals but no recall. The rest looks good.
Bad part is it needed a rebuild when I got it. The good news is I had planned on doing a complete build any way.
Bullet prof bottom end, stage 4 heads and everything in the middle.
It will take me at least 4 weeks to do the build. Crank work will be the hold up. They are backed up right now.
Forged high performance rods, welded, trued and balanced on the crank. Them.. bearings, gear cams. Yes we are taking out time to get the gear cams to be right.
I would have been very upset if I had bought this to ride as is.
The bike ran good with no smoke to it.
I am hoping I can get it done before the drag/swap meet on March 23 and can get enough miles on it so I can try it out on the strip.
If you are close enough to Rainsville, AL. drop by and check things out.

If that is the case, probably doesn't need to go into the bottom end, but sounds like he wants to. He could do a Zippers or Axtell 107 without digging into the crank.

This is a complete build from the ground up
Welded, trued, balanced crank, 575 gear cams, 113 ci big bore, stage 4 heads, tim... bearings. this also includes all the necessary components to make it rock solid and reliable.
May change the gear some, Hopping for 115-120 hp and TQ
My builder said he grantees me I will have 100 tq. at 2,200 rpm at least.
I bought the bike to do just this but found the other when we took it apart.
If I had bought it to just ride I would have been very upset but I bought it to do the engine build so that is the good news.
I got it titled today and told the guy and his jaw fell to the floor. I really believe he didn't know it. He put 8 miles on it in a year and I believe that to. he could hardly walk
