Default a few questions about WG rear fender mod on Fatbob.

I am getting ready to order parts for this mod on my 2012 FB and had a few questions. Do i have to have the strut covers on this? I like the look without (not to mention it would save me almost $200) and am wondering if i can get away with out them. Im thinking that if i want to have a detachable sissy bar i will need it. Ok, i guess i only have 1 question at the moment. Also any suggestions from folks that have done this mod would be most welcome as this will be my first ever mod.

You could do it without the strut covers. It's a pretty easy mod. Just expensive...The strut covers cost me damn near as much as the fender.

Tex

Out of curiosity which detachable sissy bar are you going to use?

Not sure about the sissybar yet, but part# 51161-10 is the most likely as of right now unless i can find something i like better.

Can I ask what parts you ordered to complete the conversion?
