Finished the winter mods
Finished the winter work on my 10 Superglide. This winter was the rear fender rack, the new tach/speedo, Kury pegs, 2" tank lift and a turn signal relocation kit. The kit was needed because of the higher tank. The turn signals would almost contact the tank in the normal position.
HD lists the rack load limit at 25 lbs. Yet they sell a passenger seat and backrest for it to ride two up. That gal must need to be very skinny.
The tach/speedo is great but I like the tank lift the best. I had a chrome bar stock that came with a dual horn set up that I was going to put into a truck and never did. I looked at it and realized that I could cut it in two and use it to lift the tank. Cost: zero had the needed fasteners in hand also.
The Kury pegs were needed to spruce up the spartan gray engine and polished aluminum parts on the base Superglide.
This is the second winter set of mods for the bike. Next winter may be the big one. Watched a Utube video by J&P on how to install the cam with built in compression release. Seemed easy with the adjustable push rods.

This is the best I can do with my old camera. Broke the new one on the PCH ride last summer and have not replaced it yet.
You should be able to see the increased gap between the tank and valve covers, the turn signals relocation and some of the fender rack.
Rats, I just remembered that I was going to put a spacer in the fork tubes. Back to the garage.
