Default trans+ in the oil tank!!!!

Late at night in rush to get an oil change before my trip at 5am. I realized that the last quart I put in was Trans fluid. what the ****!!
Did I mess up???
I don't have another 3qts to do another oil change right now.
Can I get a way with 2 of oil and 1 of trans fluid???
Do I need to wait till 10am to get 3qts of oil and do another whole oil change??
Totally screwed this trip,
Thanks for any input!

What kind of trans fluid was it? If it was like the same oil in all three holes, then you're good to go! Otherwise, were I you, I wouldn't take the chance! It could carbon up and freeze your rings...who knows? In fact, I think I would do two oil changes back to back to get it all out...but that is MHO and that isn't worth much to anyone but me...good luck!

That oil isn't engineered to hi temp specs that engine oil is and it could gas off leaving deposits on your rings as I said. I know that the very thought of it in my crankcase, I couldn't enjoy my trip. Hard to smell the daisies with this in the back of your mind I think!

I assume your talking about formula+ tranny and primary oil? if so it is notfor use in the crankcase as a motor oil. or any other tranny fluid for that matter. I wouldnt even start the bike up before draining.

The H-D Formula+ is actually Citgo 10W-40 motor oil (at least that is what it was 2 years ago when I read an oil analysis on it). Not a disaster but I would get it out as soon as possible.
