Default Electrical System Lamp

I recently removed ALL front and back turn signals and removed the brake light assembly from my 2012 Street Bob. I had a brake light put on the axel bolt. Now my Electrical System Lamp keeps coming on. Its the little red light to the right of the SPEEDO. Any suggestions on how to eliminate this problem??

How did you wire your new brake light in?

This may sound dumb but here it is....seems like when I made changes on mine, the changes needed to be balanced. If I took a bulb out of one side, front or rear, it would throw a code. If I removed bulbs on both sides, front or rear, it would be balanced and not throw a code unless I hit the turn sigs. Powering off the bike and turning back on would clear it. When I wired my new single brake light I wired it in to the CENTER brake light wires. I just heat shrinked off the turn sig wires and got no codes. It seems to me the bike is looking for an imbalance from left to right. If you have wired your new brake light to something other than the center brake wires it is seeing an imbalance from right to left and telling you that.

I am not sure but it could be throwing a code because there is no current to th efront signals or perhaps both front and rear signals
Turn signals are required by law so it could be trowing a code for not having them. No complete circuit.

It is wired to the center light. I was just wondering if there was a way to eliminate this light. In Missouri the law is if the turn signals are on the bike they need to work. Thanks for all the info

I did away with all my turn sigs and wired my new brake light to the old center wires. Mine throws no codes or alarms.

Thanks! I'm thinking it's seeing something on a side that it shouldn't. Check everything and make sure you don't have any wires you cut in contact with anything else. Be sure and post what you find.
