Apes on stock wide glide question from argentina
Hello there my friends.
im juan from argentina.
i have a '12 stock wide glide and want to put some apes on it..
as here there are no parts i have to buy overseas all so i want to know exactly what i need.
If i put a 12'' apes.. do i need to buy longer wires.. if so.. what do i need?
if i put a 16'' i know i need to buy the wires.. but what?
im guessing.. clutch cable, front brake cable..
as you can see.. i am very new in this.
thanks a lot!

Juan,
First, make sure you buy a service manual. Handy to have taking apart the wire terminals. I believe for the 12" bars, the stock wiring harness should be long enough. There is a bunch crammed in the neck. Otherwise, you can order a wiring extension kit from HD or other companies like Dennis Kirk.
I am sure some other guys will chime in with what length cables would be needed for 16" bars if you went that route.
Good luck, welcome to the forum and post some pictures when you get your bike done!
