Default My 05 FXD - Before and after

This is how it looked on the auction lot almost a year ago:triple tree was bent as well as the forks (front end was not from a Super Glide, wonder what it is, probably a Wide Glide):

after 3 weeks of grueling wrenching sessions with my friends, it was made rideable again:

...and this is how it looks now, 1 year and a couple thousand miles later. Swapped the apes for z-bars and the front 19-inch rim for a Softail 16-inch rim.

...a work in progress indeed.

It's a Yokohama MT 90-16, I've got one in the rear too.

I was rather lucky to find them, there's a guy down here that brings lots of used tires, and he happened to have batch of these bobber-looking bad boys lying around.

The problem is that he ran out of 'em since most 200cc chinese mini-cruisers around my city have 16-inch rims as well. The other bobber-looking tire I've found is the Avon Security MKII tires...and those go for $350 a pair. I really don't know where to look for old school tires.

Thank you for the post reference! I needed a real review on those tires!

Thanks, I do need to point out that it doesn't snow where I live. (Honduras) The capital city is paved but potholes are abundant. Most small towns on the country have dirt roads that this tire can handle quite well. That's partly why I switched to a fat front tire, thin tires don't handle as well with all the grooves and inequalities on the road.

Bikes look'n good! I bet those dirt roads get interesting at times without a front fender
