Default Progressive 970 with saddle bags

I have a 2012 fat bob. Looking at installing the progressive 970 shock. I am Lso looking at installing H-D saddle bags. Wondering if anybody out there is using this set up or if it is even possible ?

Possible just need to face the piggy reservoir toward your leg instead of toward the saddlebag

I am running them with resivor facing forward on a fxdb. Also know guys who run the works with resivors facing forward. I also believe you can run the progressive 970 upside down like on the triumph bikes. a rep from progressive told me that about the triumphs.
Direct Harley parts in so cal will have the best price on the 970 I think I paid $690

Yes you can run them upside down and facing forwards
I sent a PM to Progressive Suspension on this site asking the same question and the answer was "Yes you can mount the shocks upside down and with the reservoir facing forward".
I also got an email from Progressive with the same response.
To mount them the "normal" way I would have had to space them out a bit as the reservoir would touch the chrome piece along the fender.
I like the look upside down.

Thanks Slick.
I forgot to add that most importantly they are an excellent product.
One up or with a pillion I couldn't be happier.

I know this is an old thread but . . . does anyone have a photo of the progressives mounted upside down with the piggy forward that they can share?

I'm in the market for new shocks. I wouldn't mind seeing a pic with the reservoir mounted forward (upside down).
