Default Need some help form someone with Bassani Road Rage 2

I have the road rage 2 mega power just put it on my bike and I think Bassani sent the wrong trans bracket with the exhaust. The back bolt of the muffler doesnt even line up with the front bolt on the bracket its that far forward. If I hold the muffler inline with the trans bracket there is about an inch gap between the muffler and the head pipe. The trans bracket overall lenght is 20 1/8 or so little over 20. They also shorted me one hose clamp for heat shields.

I have a Road Rage on mine and it bolted up fine. There have been others here recently with the same compliant. Do a search on this site and I think you will find the thread.

Yeah, I had a long thread on installing my Bassani RR 1D5250s. My holes lined up pretty well but there was a 3/4 inch gap between the mounting plates. I worked with Kurt at Bassani and he brought in a Dyna to figure it out. Long story short - they made a new bracket that replaced the two previous ones and it fit like a glove. It took about 6 weeks though, so I had to make some spacers for my brackets until the new one came.

Anyway, call Kurt tomorrow and find out what might be the problem, maybe it is the wrong bracket. If you need any ideas on how to fix the problem temporarily - post some pics and I am sure someone will be able to help.

Great to hear, hopefully you will have the right bracket in no time. I think once you get them installed, you will be grinning big time.

Yeah they are going to 2 day air it to me but really I'm in no hurry I won't be riding for acouple months anyways. Yeah I was bummed about the pipe so I tightened everything else except the trans mount and started it up and it sounds sweet. It will be interesting to see what it will do when I get it dynoed
