Default Fxd d&d exhaust input

Just put on my 01 fxd and the muffler is angle on the input side and the end points toward the swingarm when, installed is the normal?

pictures of the exhaust mounted would help so we can see if something is out of place... did you torque everything down yet?

it doesn't look like you put it on squarely. try using WD40 on the end of the collector where the muffler slides on and it should slide easier. dont make anything permanent till you know you can get on there squarely till your satisfied with how it looks

Have you tried to loosen the headers with the muffler on to see if it will line up.
From the photo it looks like the header is not straight- pointing outward some. that would cause the muffler to look like it does.

Everything is flush. The muffler is square with the collector. The inlet is straight but it is welded on at an angle

The bracket that holds the muffler also has an angle to it. It is mounted flush on the trans.

Did some lookin around and looks like this might go on an iron horse. Bought the exhaust off eBay and he said it fits a fxd. Well it does but not correctly.Yall think this can be modded to work?

Took to d&d and it is for an ironhorse or soft tail. Back to the drawing board I guess. Anyone want this thing?
