Default Pulling Off The Rocker Box Cover

Hey all, going to be pulling off the rocker box covers to get them powder coated black. Has anybody done this job and run into any hang ups that I might want to know about? I have the service manual and it all looks pretty cut and dry, but I know there's always something that comes up on these jobs. Going to make sure the powder coater masks where the seal meets the gaskets so I don't end up with a leak. Had that happen to a friend when he had his rockers chrome plated. Thanks!

Remove the tank. remove the bolts. Make sure you know what bolts go where. Get new gaskets and reassemble. Super easy.

What year is your scoot? Some of the left bolts on the rear cylinder on 04/05 models are a real bitch to loosen/tighten; even with the tank removed.

we actually have an exchange program for rockers, can send you a set done and you just do the swap. send us back your stock ones as a core. here are some pics of ones we have done... we only charge $130 (+ core charge that is refunded when yours are received)

Hey Joe, is that for the uppers only, or the 4 piece set?
