Need help converting to a Bobber
I have an 08 Fat Bob. I want to start converting it to a bobber. I want to fat donut wheels and tires. New rear fender, and lowered to start. I'm not going to do all at once. It's gonna take some time. Where should I start. What size wheels and tires should i go with? I've had the bike for a year, it's time I make it my own.
Any help would be much appreiciated.

Someone recently posted a link to the Easyriders japan site. There are bikes on that site that may be inspiration for you.
I like the pipes, bars, and rear fender on this one http://www.easyriders.jp/en/bs/en_dyna_ba5.html

Strip everything off that is not absolutly necessary to make the bike function then change your wheels and start adding back what you think you need. If it doesn't look right, take a little off and look again. When you get that rear fender bobbed the way you want it, either bolt it on, or primer it first, or take it to the shop and have it painted.
Bottom line, bobbers are bikes stripped to the necessities and each 1 as individual as the owner.

Thanks for the info. I have started to strip the bike. I want to start with the wheels, and rear fender. I really like the look of this rear fender. http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/r.../cimg0846l.jpg
What size wheels and tires should I get? Where can I get a fender like this?

It looks badass, but probably loud too.
I lived in Tokyo for a long time. There are soime sick bikes in that city (and some sickly Bosozoku bikes too.)
OP. Check out Rocket Bobs for a few cool rear fenders. I like the one in the pic you provided too. Notice that the struts have to be cut off. It's a big committment. Stock Wide Glide fenders look real good on Fat Bobs.
Check out Coker Tires for old school fat tires. There was another post about retro tires but I can't seem to find it. They really do define a look.
A tank lift is a cheap, easy thing that can get you in the right direction.
