Hey guys- I'm looking to replace the cast wheels that came on my bike with wire spoke wheels. Not looking to increase/decrease size. I've been looking for the standard wheels that were on the 35th anniversary, and FXDC of that year. I'd rather buy OEM but getting feedback from HD has been like pulling teeth. Any of you know where I can get some of those wheels? I've called multiple dealerships asking to buy some when people have customized their rides and again haven't made much progress. Does Harley have some secret stash that's not available to us commoners? I figure it's easy money for someone who's replacing stock or for HD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a set of spoke wheels I pulled off my 07 Streetbob I will sell ya. I assume that they are the same spokes since 06 and 07 are the only wheels that will interchange without modifications.

 

You should be able to just bolt on OEM wheels from 06 or 07. There were a couple of types of wire wheels. The standard rims and what I think they called the smooth profile which were fitted to the 06 FXDI35. Ironically, when my 07 Dyna was apart a couple of Winters ago, I could not find anyone to trade my wire wheels for mags. I ended up powder coating the rims and hubs and going with heavier duty spokes and I couldn't be happier.

 

Did you have a company powder coat your wheels and did they also do the lacing or were you able to do some of te labor. I would like to do the same with my wheels but I don't even know where to begin. Thanks

 

I've been looking like crazy for a spoke front for my wife's 2006 superglide. It's harder than you would think!
Got one for the rear, I think I paid 100 bucks for one in perfect shape.

The pulley bolts sheared and ruined the black powder coated rear, so right now she has a black front and a chrome rear...

I'm just gonna keep shopping till I find a chrome front..
