Default Spark plugs

Got some new sc spark plugs. Is there a gain in the placement of the gap within the cylinder. Just asking because i have a strong motor that runs super rich. I heard secrets about the way you position your plugs may help. Bluf: 103 stage iv running rich. I fouled plug.....finally. Goal: Maximum spark.....give me gossip . Also, should i consider i high performance coil?

To squeeze every last bit of power out of their motors, hot rodders would "index" the open gap of the spark plug towards the intake valve or main combustion zone of the cylinder so that the incoming fuel/air mix would receive the maximum spark from the plug. It takes an assortment of plug washers (shims) of different thicknesses to be able to do that, but quite frankly, after all's said and done, probably doesn't yield enough real power in every day street riding to be worth the effort.

Late model HD EFI ignition modules and coils provide plenty of spark energy to properly ignite the fuel mix - if your Stage IV 103" is running rich your tuner is probably in need of a different MAP. Hope you get it worked out.

I would have the bike re-tuned so it doesnt run as rich. Plug position mmmm i have heard of people doing it but. Not shure if it would really do to much. As with proformance spark plugs. I heard they make a small difference in power efficiancy etc... If they are installed in a car or truck with 8 cyl. But in a v twin i dont think it would do anything. I tried the screamin eagle plugs in my bike. Had to take them out. My engine light kept comming on the didnt work well with the knock sensor.

Not sure what a sc plug is, but spark plugs won't solve an AFR issue, either lean or rich. First and most important- get the tune dialed in, put in a new set of plugs and see what they look like after a few miles.

"bluf" is a military term. Army folks and officers in general use it(usually in long emails). Wish I could remember the exact acronym. It basically means "bottom line"...I am sensitive to using acronyms and Military terms with civilians. When I went to recruiting school, anytime you used one, it cost you a buck. I must have given 200 dollars over the course of the class...
