I want to get a slip on and I thought about Vance&Hines. I want more sound but I don't want to be obnoxious loud. I have also found a Thunderheader on ebay for about the same price. I like the look of the Thunderheader better. Cycle Shack has an even cheaper muffler but I don't know how they sound. Who is running what exhaust and what do you think about them?

 

I was running one and it sounded great. I took it off after a couple of hundred miles to install short shots. If I ever go back to full pipes it'll be V&H. I just had to ditch the cat. If u want a slip on with no scratchs or dings I'm selling one. $150 plus shipping.

 

Im at that point also I am thinking about doing the stage one thing. I didnt know VH made slip ons.

 

I would have to recommend Bassani slip on for the FLD. Just put one on mine. I have only been able to ride 30 minutes after the install due to weather and the flu, but the sounds is great and I can notice a differance in performance and get up.

 

love my V&H.. just the right amount of tone while cruising but really growls when you jump on it

 

I went with the V&H. H-D had one in stock so I snatched it up. I really like the sound. Deep, mellow, but will bark with a twist of the wrist. And a surprising pick up in power. Good buy I say.
