Default Finally! A set of AFFORDABLE Saddlebags for '13 Street Bobs

Well the hunt is finally over. I've been hunting for a set of affordable throwover saddlebags for my '13 SB since I got my bike last night and finally found a set that fit between the tail lights and shock.

These are Wille and Max Blackjack Compact Slant Small bags. Seems nice... they zip off and have the hidden clips which are both huge for me.

I attached them to the swingarm on the bottom with two of the wifey's head bands and a couple of backpack clips I had laying around. Didn't think the shoe string provided would be great for fastening a fixed item to a constantly moving swing arm. Plus now I can just unclip them when I zip them off.

good looking bag but i would never run that over HD paint... HD are know for having paint that scratches easy. what you could do is cut off the strap and run a set of edge brackets on it, another option would be to run clear 3m tape on the fender so that it does not scratch or mar

I was thinking about looking for a clear piece adhesive film to go over the fender not only for the bags, but the passenger seat as well. Any ideas on what I should go with?

EDIT: I went throwover because I don't have the budget for the Leather Pros fixed bags. Nobody else makes fixed bags for the '13 SB yet that doesn't require tail light and license plate relocation.

What you decide to use is what you should go with.
You can always add some felt or none scratch able material under the saddle bag throw over. Glue it on the underneath with contact cement. The clear plastic will save the paint but will still scratch the film.
But that is me.

Felt will still mar the gloss, go with 3m clear protective tape, you can get it pretty cheap on ebay. i use it all the time on bikes and cars, works great!

Thanks guys. The bags themselves have a pretty nice layer fo felt on the underside, but that makes no difference once some sand and rocks get in there.

Anyways, this bike is for riding...not showstopping.

Maybe you need these. I hate to see new bags get into wheels, spokes, etc.

I can't find any for '13 SBs. There's no way for these to get into the wheel or belt though.
