Default Weekend project

Hey all,

Got some new HD Willie G. Skull Collection Hand grips that I'm going to put on my 2008 Fat Bob this weekend. I have read a lot of posts about installing grips already but I'll still welcome any last minute advice. I don't want a 30 minute job to turn into a several hours job.

thanks!

Super easy job. Have a beer handy in case things go south.

They should come with an instruction manual. You'll probably have to cut off your left side stock grip. Just take your time and be careful not to lose the little barrel things that go on the end of your throttle and idle cables.

No need to cut off the left side grip.
Use wd40 with the supplied small spout.
Stick it in the grip all around It will let go and start to move. Clean with alcohol very good.

Easy peasy. Loosen the throttle cables all the way to give yourself some room to work with. Be careful of the little brass ferrules on the end of the throttle cables, they disappear easily.

You should be able to get the left grip off with a little wd-40 and some twisting and pulling. Clean the bar well when it's off.

There is a great how to video on youtube to adjust the throttle.

BE CAREFUL TAKING THE THROTTLE SIDE APART! YOU NEED TO PUT A SPACER IN THE FRONT BRAKE LEVER SO THAT YOU DO NOT BREAK THE LITTLE SWITCH INSIDE!
