Default Need help finding longer kickstand for FXDB

Hello,
I fitted longer 13" shocks to my 2013 FXDB and now the bike leans too far over and is a bitch to lift off the stand if I'm parked on any sort of lean or uneven ground.

Anyone know who makes / sells overlength kickstands for late model dynas? No jokes about joining a gym please haha.

I'm not aware of anyone who makes one that would fit an FXDB. I would suggest that you weld one up (something we did all the time in chopper days of the 70s) or that you find a local machine shop. For someone who knows what they are doing it is a very easy fab.

Thanks rhode rider... I was hoping I could find one ready to bolt on. I know the older FXDX had taller shocks and possibly a longer stand, but I'm not sure it would be a direct bolt on either.

Hey JRK, thanks for the offer. I will PM you my details.

I was hoping there would be another way other than cutting and welding, just from a strength point of view? Not that I don't trust your welding ability

There seems to be only shorter than stock kickstands in the Drag Specialites book.... There is a kickstand to fit '91 - '05 FXD - does anyone know if this stand is longer than the '06 - present stand and whether it will bolt onto the late model Dynas?

Shouldnt be a concern. A good weld will be stronger than the surrounding metal.
