Default Front Brake line bolt at Master Cylinder?

What kind of bolt/nut is that? It seems to be just smaller than a 1/2", but I don't have any sockets like that.
My brake line has a crack in it and has to be replaced.

If you know what size/type socket I need for this, post it up! I'll pick up the tool after work today.

It is a METRIC 12 point socket.

Does not hurt to have a set of them. I think mine are Craftsman. Check Harbor Freight in US and Princess Auto in Canada for an inexpensive set.
It makes my day when I can add a new tool to the collection!

I used a 7/16 12 point socket on mine. It fit well.

Good to know, up here I have doubles of everything SAE and Metric. You never know what you are going to need.
When ever I work on the brakes, I pull out the metric sets, they seem to fit the brake bolts snugger.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought it was 11 mm, but being at work at the moment, I could not confirm.

I do know (according to HD Manual) that the main caliper bolts are 10mm.

And the banjo bolts should be torqued to 17-22 ft/lbs, both on the master cylinder and caliper.

And be careful, Dot 4 brake fluid is a great paint remover!

Thanks! Great info about the torque. Is that in the service manual?
