Does anyone here know if I will need to change cables on my '12 SB if I change to the Burly 12" narrow glide apes?
Any help greatly appreciated!

 

I have 12 wildones outlaws and I didnt have to change my cables.

I've heard anything over 14'' requires a change so, you should be good with the 12''

 

Yeah I have heard that 14" and up require new cables, but it was hard to try and sort through all the threads here and find a definite answer.
Hoping that maybe someone with the same year and choice of bars could chime in.
Anyways. thanks for those replies, I think I will order them and hope for the best. Worst case I buy some new cables.

 

Same bike and I'm purchasing the same bars. While I can't say for sure because I haven't actually installed them I think the stock cables and wiring should be fine.

 

I have 12" narrows with 1" la chopper risers and all is fine. Awesome looking bars!

i am running 12'' burly's on my 2011 street bob. cables are fine. lots of room

 

Thanks for all the input guys! Looks like I can now order without any worries. I'll be sure to add some pics when its all buttoned up. I plan on changing grips and mirrors while I'm at it.
