Default Sick of my bars moving

I have an 2010 FXDC with 1.5" stock risers and clamp. My 16" Burly Apes (1" diameter) tend to move on me if I man handle them...which includes pushing the bike or bad potholes. Part of the reason is the lack of Knurling on the clap/riser. Any advice on riser/clamps that would get me a better grip. I've been eyeing Burly's handlebar clamp, but can't find a pic of the bottom...to see if it is knurled.

Some guys cut a beer can and put that around the bar where it clamps. You could also take to a machine shop and have them knurled. The bars aren't knurled or the clamp?

The bars have knurling, but it's in two areas, instead of the solid top clamp, perhaps I should move to separate clamps.

Drill and tap the risers and use a set screw.

You sure you got the top clamp tight?
top 2 bolts sung, tighten with bottom 2 bolts. Re tighten both.
The bottom bolt is what tightens the bars. If you have a space between the top and bottom on the bridge you may not have em tight.
Not saying you didn't tighten em, just a precaution.

It sounds like you deff need new riser bushings. Get a quality neoprene pair and theyll last longer. When I put my 12's on last summer the stock bushings wore out within a week and the bars were moving when I moved the bike. I put new bushings in and it's worked perfect ever since.

simple and easy. cut a piece of emery cloth, put that under the riser clamp, tighten to spec again, will never have an issue and it is super easy

I wonder if skate board grip tape would work the same. That way you could stick the tape under the riser clamp.
