A friend at the H-D dealership told me that H-D had redesigned the IPB to fix the problem that 2006 H-D's had with either the IPB going bad or having to replace it every 15K miles. I'm coming up on 13K and thinking about my options. Did H-D redesign so that the new IPB will not need replaced in another 15K miles? I've read on here good things about the Baker IPB, but some are mod'ing it before install; also, good things about the S&S. Finally, is this something that I can do w/basic tools, or am I going to have to buy some specialized tools to pull the old bearing and install the new one? Thank you.
