Default Engine Temp

So I started my bike (06 Street Bob) up in the garage today. I have the power vision connected and was looking at the engine temp gauge. The reading was 350 F. Is this normal or too hot?

I have had my PV for about 3-4 months and have never seen more than about 270 degrees F, and that usually takes about 10 minutes of riding.

This was just at idle for about 25 min. No riding.

You are not suppose to run your engine at idle any longer than 5 mins to prevent damage to the motor from over heating. It is an air cooled engine and need air passing over the engine to keep the temps down. That temp is probably right if you were idling for 25 mins.

You let your bike idle for 25 min...and wonder why she got hot. Interesting.

Come on man

Oil at 270* and bad **** happens. 350* and you got major problems.
