I've got something rubbing on my drive belt. I've watched it getting worse but I can't figure it out. As far around as I can see or feel, there is nothing touching it. I'm wondering if it's rubbing somewhere on the front of the transmission pulley or something. It's on the outside of the belt and started out looking like some road trash got pulled up on it somehow but it's getting a lot worse. I'm wondering if there could be a bearing out or something.

 

looks to be fender or belt guard, if you bike is lowered i have seen this over and over, i had to radius mine a bit due to this issue

 

That's what I thought at first too. There is enough room to slide my hand all the way around the belt under the guard, the leading edge of the fender by the belt and all the way up to the front pulley. The only place I can't reach is the front side of the front pulley. The bike hasn't been lowered but trying to do this on the jiffy stand with no weight on the bike may be the issue. I'll check again with weight on it. Thanks for the advise.
