Default Exhaust question

Anyone have the V&H shortshots staggered pipes on their Fat Bob? Currently I have stock pipes on my '08 Fat Bob and I'm not getting the load, mean roar that I'm looking for. I like the look of the shortshots a lot, but I'm wondering how they sound? Any advice on some good sounding aftermarket pipes would be much appreciated. I'm not looking for anything overwhelmingly loud, but definitly loud enough to where it's noticable. If that makes any sense?

Thanks,

Josh

Hey Josh

Any full set of aftermarket pipes will get you where you want to be. Actually you may want to make sure they have a set of extra baffels as an add-on just in case they are to loud. A good set of Slip-On's may get you there. But no guaranties there.

My shortshots are pretty loud. The shorter pipes on the shortshots will not offer as deep a tone as a full length exhaust system. The shortshots have more of a tinny note to them. My Dad has a D&D fatcat on his softail and it sounds really good, deep tone, not too loud.

I have Rush slip ons with the 1.75" baffles. They more than doubled the loudness but retained a nice low throaty sound. Rush has 2.00" and 2.25" baffles also avalible.

1.75

2.00

2.25
