Default Street Bob running hot

I have a 07 Dyna Street Bob with Cycle Shack Slip ons and has 19,000 miles. I took it to Bikeweek and she ran so hot she cut off and had to wait an hour for it to cool down. The bike has never ran this hot. I am also running Amsoil syn. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks in advance!!

are you running an intake? from the factory HD's run lean, then people swap mufflers/pipes on them without a tune and yes the ECU will re calibrate to an extent but it is still going to be very lean. to avoid the tuner or no tuner conversation i would suggest you look into getting your stock map either reflashed at the dealer, some ied's, or a good tuner set up

Hey guy's thanks for getting back to me. I am not running an intake. What's got me stumped is that I have had this bike for 5 years now and I haven't done anything but put the slip ons on. I do all of the services myself. I feel like I am missing something for it to start running hot all of the sudden.

Maybe you haven't been caught in stop and go traffic like this before now.

I have. I think I am going to go with JRK's suggestion. Does anyone think an oil cooler with a fan would work as well?

Might want to investigate oil flow as well. Change oil and filter just for a test, could have a blockage in the filter / failed bypass.

Could be low flow coming from oil pump, etc

i run a oil cooler as well but IMO you do not need it unless you have a built motor

Good idea Apollo. I'll try that first.
