Default A few random ape hanger questions

gonna try to make this short and sweet. 06 street bob with stock 10" mini apes and turn signals still located on bars. planning on going to 16" apes. going to buy the bars of my choice, no problem there. Then decided on a 12" wire extension kit from novello...Too long, too short or just fine? next what do I need to relocate turn signals to front forks in terms of wiring? next i need throttle, idle, clutch and brakelines.... does anyone know exact lengths or how much + over stock for each? I have new grips, brake fluid, quart of primary fluid, outer clutch cover gasket, transmission side cover gasket.... Anything else i am forgetting? thank you

+8" for your cables unless they are Carlini and then maybe +10".

I bought the burly 16" kit for mine and these are the measurements of the cables I got. 52" brake line, 74" clutch cable(housing length), throttle measure 38" (minus the adjuster and elbow) I installed these with a set of 17" todds cycles bars(measure 15" at the grip, 37" wide) then decided to add 3.5" risers. Either way rerouting them differently can take up some slack or give you some extra. Here are some pics of how mine look

Shouldn't need anything extra, wire wise, for your turn sigs. if you plan on leaving them on the bars the cable kit should or can be ordered with the needed wires. If you are going to relocate them to the forks, you just need the relocation brackets, there will be enough wire.

+1

There was enough wire stuffed up in the backbone of my bike to wire much taller apes than my 16's.

I picked up some turn sig relocation stand-offs from eBay. They're probably as close as you can get to the forks without touching--about 1/4" out. No wiring was needed.

did you mean enough wire stuffed in there meaning the whole harness or enough wire stuffed in there for the turn signals? im gonna pull mine out of the backbone and see exactly how much is there. maybe i wont need a wire extension kit.

There is more than enough in there to relocate to the forks, you will still have excess afterward.
