Default Badlander Seat

I just bought a H-D Badlander seat for my 03' Dyna Wide Glide and it does'nt fit.The tab at the front seems to be about 2" too far forward. All the part numbers are correct, year of bike as per serial # confirmed.Has anybody run into this. The dealer says they will order another seat but just trying to make sure we get the right one.

Just thought I would put up an update.Received second seat yesterday and it fits perfect.I was at the dealer when it showed up and both boxes had the exact same part numbers but the seat pans were totally different! A packaging issue apparently but i'm more than happy with the service and my new seat.

Are you the original owner? Has the tank been replaced and you didn't know?

OK on pre 05 dynas the factory seats rear bracket is supposed to be reused on the badlander seat in place ofthe one included with the seat.

I'm not the original owner. As far as I know the tank was'nt changed.I used the new rear tab which came with the new seat.Everything lined up perfectly. The problem was with the front tab on the first seat.
