Default Speedo Help

I have a 94 dyna conv.My speedo cable broke.i think the speedometer is locking up.How can I fix this.
Also,i am glad I joined this forum ,cause the other one didn't work...So her I am.

if the speedometer is locked, maybe a replacement is in order?

I have never taken apart a speedo on any of my bikes, not sure if you can buy parts for them anyway. Buy a new cable and connect it to the speedo and try turning it to see if there is any binding. If all feels good connect the other end to the bike and see what hapens. If the speedo really is locked or locking up you will probably have to replace it.
