ok so let me first state that I have searched a dozen or so threads about this topic but couldn't find an answer.

bike is a 2012 street bob, I converted the rear fender to a pre 09, bought a new tail light base, new tail light harness from a 2012 superglide, and a integrated tail light from custom dynamics. It was all plug and play but I am having an issue with it.

When i press the brake the amber leds light up along with the brake light. when i unplug the signal connecters the brake run operates normally. I have a feeling its because of the run turn brake feature that the bike came with stock. So my question is there a way around that module?

 

Wiring diagram in the Service Manual will give you your answer, or alteratively you can run some integrated red turn signals...........sorry to state the obvious!!

hard to tell but this is the brake lit up with amber signals lit also.

 

Wow nobody has an answer for this? Can the bcm be reset?

 

2012 bike has the canned bus system . Bike can be programmed for the rear tail lights to stay on like running lights . My guess would be thaat the tail light assembly is /was not set up for canned bus . Your dealer can hook up there laptop and probably program the bus right
