Default Problems with LED tail light

I bought a LED tail light off e-bay for 45 bucks and having problems wiring it into my 07 WG. Its a three wire hook up ground, running and brake light ok that's easy, when I hooked it up to a 12 volt power source on the bench it worked ginger peachy, when I wired it into the bike the running light is very dim with a couple of the LED's brighter that the others??? Back on the bench it's fine, checked the ground everything can't figure what I'm doing wrong, and no I was not drinking during the install, maybe I should of been. Help

Try grounding it to the bike instead of through the harness.

Load balancers are only for the turn signal circuit. Brake lights are straight wiring.

Check your voltage at the light when it is hooked up. LEDs are very sensitive to voltage.
Bad connections in the wiring can cause voltage drops to the light.
