Default Instrument Console Trim...

Quick question, I've got my instrument console off and out being powdercoated. The rubber gasket/molding that seals it to the tank, can it be reused and what adhesive do I use to attach it? I removed it carefully so there's no tears or anything.

Part #8 in this diagram is what I'm talking about.

My gasket did not have any adhesive, just stuck on the console and stays on. Can add a little silicone to make it easier to stay put.

Interesting. Mine was definitely glued on. What kind of silicone exactly? Sealant?

I got a new one for ease of mind. My buddy reused his and it didn't sit flush.

I had my console powder coated. Gasket was spot glued. Joe at powder pros told me to use super glue gel to spot glue it back on. Everything looks good so far.

You might try XTrim if you want a little more trim (and what guy doesn't). I used it on my Road Glide between the inner and outer fairing.

You can use the chrome bug guard or door edge guard, it looks good!
