Default Quick question on the axle holder

In my little kid at Christmas haste -

I forgot to notice the proper way the front axle clamp needs to go on. The front end is a 06 fxdb. Which ways does the clamp face? And I think I snug it torque it evenly

Putting the front end back together with the new fatbob trees and the weather is finally cooperating here on long island.
Thanks,
George

If it is like the 07, the small spacer or lug on the cap goes to the rear. This will give you a small gap on the rear side.

I'm guessing you mean the extra bit of casting on the cap.
Thanks,
George

With any luck I'll be ready for a Sunday test ride. I need to space out my caliper about three washers worth - and it should be good to good. Maybe head to Port Jeff.
Be careful out there - all the cage nut jobs are going to be out in the sun light

Yes, it would be like a small bump and it goes to the rear side.
