Default Front tire pressure.. 12 street bob

Got a question.. My front tires pressure is at 37? Is that normal? I know my manual says 30 front 40 rear? Took it in at my 1k service, should I lower it back down to 30? Why would they set it at 37? What are the pros or cons? Thanks-

Could be a difference in the tester. I set mine at no higher than a couple of pounds over what is suggested.

On my wide glide with the narrowest tire on the planet I run a little lower than recommended cuz I want as much traction as possible. 20-25psi. 37 is too high for the front on any bike, IMO.

Lots of variables, not all gauges read the same, mechanic made a mistake, etc. Drop it to 30 if that's what the manual states.

Check it with another air gauge.
I have three and they all have read slightly different.
Which one do you trust?

I run 32 to be slightly higher than stock. Running really low pressure can lead to blowouts from the tires overheating as well as slower steering and less fuel economy. Finally, low pressure can help cause rim damage with lower profile tires.
