Default 11' FXDB mods.

i had this bike from new and have been messin around with it since day one. did engine work first day. HD bags and AC and pipe. was a v&h pipe but hated the ground clearance. swapped to a supertrapp.
last year i did 12'' burley bars, avon grips, leavers and mirrors.

this year the list was bigger. and i am only half way thru completing it all.
here it is so far....

-rifle roadster fairing
-got rid of heavy breather for regular SE intake.
-powder coat some stuff including front end.
-HID headlight
-LED turn sigs. and load equalizer.
-toss out the sparto tail light, fill in holes.
-new rubber
-relocate speedo/tach to bars and put oil pressure gauge in dash.
-bowman sissy bar
-new plate holder
-new tail light set up for a cleaner look.

got rid of some wrinkle black.

front end going together. again. to my surprise i didn't scratch the powder!

some new GT502's

got most of it together

gloss black dash

gotta mount headlight, fender, sissy bar, fairing and wire up the lights yet.

i will take some better pic's when she's a little further along and the sun comes back out. i should be riding now but had to wait four weeks for my powder foe some reason. at least it was perfect.

are those matching pop up gas caps?
did you remove the fuel guage from the left side, or did they change it from my 08 model?

ive been looking for a set that fits the two odd sized holes, unfortunately all i can find are same size left/right screw.

they are the HD flush mount set. fuel cap on the right and gauge on the left. was for my year dyna. got it from the dealer and it took me 30 minutes to install. it has LED lights for the fuel level but because of my tank lift is isn't accurate. i go by milage.

your year should be same as mine i think. the gauge side is a different looking hole but looks same after cap is in like the stock one did. your tank is stock for that year bike and model? the dealer should have this.

ah, yeah i believe they do, but i know they're also way more than i'm looking to spend.

I removed the fuel gauge because after my tank lift it wasnt accurate anyway, so i just got a dummy cap that matched my fuel cap. i'd rather switch to the pop-up kind with a dummy on the left, but cant find them. probably don't exist.

you might be right on that one. they are costly but i got mine on a deal table for $125 last year. i am thinking of taking the two inch lift out for a one inch lift. not sure yet..
