I've removed by back light and chopped a bit of plastic away to fit the HD Chopped fender LED curved light. It's not for the Fat Bob ( Street Bob maybe ) but has the same contour. I thought about removing the registration plate completely and use a side mounted one.

That would look ok but to me and i am still thinking of a side mount plate (no lights though) but my only concern was if I removed all the rear light and plate assembly, you are left with a big deep dark hole under the fender as you look at it from the rear. This is where a bobbed fender, like a Street Bob would look cool.

Good look with the snow defrost, we've pretty much lost all ours now so did some miles today.

I ended up putting a WG rear fender on my Fat Bob but for tail lights you could just get a Run/Stop/Turn module for your rear signals and lose the tail light completley. Relocate the plate and youre done

Well then the plate mount and light you posted will work fine. Just make sure the hole in the bracket is sized for the shock bolt or the axle, whichever method you choose. Mine is mounted with the lower shock bolt. I just got a bolt that was 1/4" longer. Good luck.

They make them for both vertical and horizontal.

I did the same....
got a new bob fender and put the side plate/light on it. Love the look of the side plate but HATE the wide open fender and tire now....looks like sht.

See my post for a pic of what a mess it makes.
