Default Brake Light Problem

Hey guys. I'm usually over on the Sportster forum, but my dad rides an 06' Super Glide and he's having an issue with his brake light. When he turns his key on, his brake light is on all the time. You can wiggle the bulb, and it will stop, but when left alone, the brake light comes back on. We took the wire from my bike, the one that the bulb it attached to, and put it on his bike. The brake light is still on all the time. The only difference is, it doesnt dim when wiggled.

Any ideas?

Have a look at the image attached.

The brake signal wire is Orange/White.

To find out if the lamp fitting is causing this issue unplug the 4 positions connector and check at pin 2 if you have 12 v signal.
If not, the issue is in the lamp fitting.
If you still have a 12v signal, unplug the 6 position connector and check if you have a signal at pin 2 coming from the main harness.
If you have a 12v signal, the issue is in one of the brake switches.
If you don't have a 12v signal, the issue is in the taillight board.

To find out what switch is causing the issue, start unplugging the rear brake switch. If you don't have a 12 v signal at the taillight board, the issue is in the rear brake switch. If you still have a 12v signal, the issue is in the front brake switch.

Easiest thing first.
Check the sensor at the brake master cylinder first.
They get out of adjustments at times.
By wigging the bulb some by doing nothing but losing circuit to the brake side of the bulb.
Very easy to check.
Has the brake lever been removed?

+1:
It's the wedge item # 4 in the last image

Here's how the brake activates the switch:

The pin on the lever (see image 1 p/n 1) pushes the plunger into the brake cylinder when squeezed... at the same time the brake switch which is mounted through the hole (image 2 p/n 3) is being released.

When you want to take off the lever from the handlebar and insert a piece of 4mm cardboard, the lever is pulled in a little allowing the pin to come off the brake switch's rubber cap. Now the lever can be removed without snagging this rubber cap.

When you re-install the lever, insert the cardboard as well and insert the lever as shown in image 3....
