A lot of people will likely say it's easy but I wont. It is kinda tedious and time consuming but can be done in an afternoon. The hardest part for me was making the 6 Molex wire connections without the fancy crimping tool. Some people skip this step entirely by cutting the socket housings completely off and just hard wiring the connection. Anyway the HD instructions are pretty good, but you will have to read and think a lot before some steps. There have been a few threads on this subject you might want to do a search on - especially on accessing the unused connectors under the fuel tank.

If you decide to do the mod, and need any help, just shoot me a PM and I will try to help ya out.

I haven't relocated mine, but I did do some wiring and alansummrs is right - it's a pain to do w/o the crimper. I got the one referenced in the thread below ... and I don't regret spending that $30 one bit.

Good info, if I get back into a wiring mod, I will be buying that tool.
