Default Need some help finding a Harley FXDWG

Hi....I have been looking for a Harley FXDWG of any age condition everywhere and i am struggling. Googled, ebay, even salvage but cant seem to get anything thats under $4000. My budget is pretty tight hence the problem finding something. Does anyone have any tips on where and how to get my hands on one? Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated....

Your budget is more towards a Sportster.

I searched for a couple months before finding my 02 WG, but I paid $6,500 for it.

i would have bought a second one if i could have found them that cheap. i spent 2 months looking and ended up spending 9500 for a 07 w/13,500 mi

EDIT: while searching dec through feb there was a guy in PA selling 2 older wide glides as a package for i think $6k but the adds had very little info and it seemed like he knew very little about them. i was interested but i dont respond to any adds on craigslist or other classafieds that say call only WILL NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS OR TXT'S... i've got better things to do than listen to some stranger give me their lifes sob story and sound all disapointed if i dont seem super excited to buy their stuff. the add was up for atleast 2 months so may still be up if you feel like searching for it.

best of luck hope you find the one for you.

a little tip for craigslist if you want to search the whole state instead of each city

http://www.searchtempest.com/

works wonders with tabbed browsers. each add opens in a new tab too.

Try searching CoPart.com; they are a big clearing house for insurance salvage vehicles. I've seen plenty of bikes of all kinds going for reasonable prices. Just be careful to find one with cosmetic issues, rather than frame issues.
